About the Role

Mayflower is looking for an experienced Business/System Analyst to join its Growth team.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design and QA to translate business objectives into clear requirements, document complex system behaviour and support features throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, structure and validate business and system requirements.

  • Translate product goals into user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules and technical documentation.

  • Analyse APIs, integrations, data structures, system constraints and microservice relationships.

  • Identify risks, dependencies, missing information and unclear requirements.

  • Support developers and QA engineers throughout development and testing.

  • Maintain accurate documentation covering product behaviour, business logic, APIs and internal systems.

  • Structure documentation for internal search and LLM-based knowledge tools.

  • Use tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude to support analysis and documentation while independently checking the accuracy of all outputs.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst or in a similar product-development role.

  • Experience working with cross-functional product and engineering teams.

  • Strong understanding of requirements analysis, APIs, integrations and complex system logic.

  • Ability to turn ambiguous requests into clear, detailed and testable requirements.

  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills.

  • Practical experience using AI or LLM tools in analysis workflows.

  • Understanding of vector databases or AI knowledge-management systems is beneficial.

  • Ability to facilitate discussions and coordinate stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.

  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
