About the role
Role Overview
EY is seeking a Mobile Native Developer - Android to join the Technology Transformation Consulting practice within the Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia cluster. This is a senior mid-level position responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex Android applications for clients across industries.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Android application features using Kotlin and Android Jetpack components including ViewModel, Room, and Compose
Drive technical design discussions and contribute to mobile architecture decisions ensuring scalability and maintainability
Integrate applications with backend services using RESTful APIs and modern networking stacks
Lead debugging, performance tuning, and memory optimization efforts
Implement unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure application reliability
Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines including automated builds and quality gates
Perform code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level developers
Ensure accessibility, internationalization, and security best practices compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, backend, and design
Required Qualifications
4–7 years of Android development experience building production applications
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android development using Android Studio
Deep experience with Android Jetpack libraries and architectural patterns like MVVM and Clean Architecture
Strong experience integrating REST APIs and managing secure data storage
Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
Ability to use AI tools responsibly for development acceleration
Ideal candidates will have experience with Jetpack Compose, Firebase services, reactive programming, and cloud-connected mobile features such as push notifications and crash reporting.
