About the role
Role Overview
EY is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage Microsoft Azure and Hybrid Cloud infrastructure solutions. This is a full-time hybrid position based in Nicosia. The role requires 4–6 years of hands-on cloud engineering experience and focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions through automation and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and automate Azure infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM Templates
Configure, administer, and maintain Azure and Hybrid Cloud environments
Design and deploy Azure Landing Zones, governance frameworks, and security baselines
Develop and maintain cloud deployment automation pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
Design cloud infrastructure solutions following security and operational best practices
Support application and workload migration to Azure and Hybrid Cloud platforms
Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
Collaborate with security teams to implement cloud security controls and compliance requirements
Evaluate infrastructure and provide recommendations for automation and operational efficiency improvements
Engage with client IT teams in cloud adoption workshops and training
Support managed cloud operations throughout the solution lifecycle
Required Qualifications
4–6 years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering
Proficiency with Microsoft Azure services including networking, compute, storage, monitoring, identity, and security
Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools
Experience designing and implementing Azure DevOps pipelines
Understanding of Azure Landing Zones and cloud governance best practices
Knowledge of Hybrid Cloud architectures and cloud migration approaches
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Greek is preferred but not mandatory
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Preferred Qualifications
Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT degree
Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights implementation experience
Cloud security and governance framework development experience
Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-500)
