Project Manager (World of Tanks: HEAT)
Skills & requirements
About the role
About the role
Wargaming is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team developing World of Tanks: HEAT, a cross-platform multiplayer tank shooter for PC and consoles.
You will work alongside game designers, UX designers, C++ and UI developers, QA specialists, artists and other production teams to turn gameplay concepts into clear, achievable development plans.
The role focuses on helping multidisciplinary teams plan effectively, remove blockers and deliver high-quality gameplay features consistently. You will support the team rather than directly manage its members, creating the structure and visibility needed for people to collaborate and perform at their best.
You will report to the Delivery Manager.
What you’ll be doing
Plan development iterations and release scopes based on product priorities, feature requirements and team capacity.
Coordinate quarterly roadmaps, monthly releases and bi-weekly development cycles.
Support estimation sessions and help teams make realistic delivery commitments.
Monitor progress, identify delivery risks and adjust plans when priorities or requirements change.
Facilitate planning sessions, refinements, retrospectives and other team ceremonies.
Help features progress from initial concepts and prototypes through to production.
Track delivery metrics such as throughput, cycle time, velocity and defect levels.
Identify bottlenecks and improve workflows across the development pipeline.
Coordinate dependencies and communication between internal and external teams.
Keep stakeholders informed about progress, risks, capacity and potential trade-offs.
Help resolve team blockers and facilitate productive conflict resolution.
Encourage collaboration, self-organisation and continuous improvement across the team.
What we’re looking for
Previous experience as a Project Manager, Delivery Manager or Producer within game development, with four or more years of experience preferred.
Experience supporting a game or digital product across multiple development stages, from concept and production through to release and live operations.
Strong planning, organisation and stakeholder-management skills.
Confidence managing competing priorities and setting realistic expectations.
Experience facilitating productive planning sessions, reviews and retrospectives.
Experience working with distributed, hybrid or multicultural teams across different locations or time zones.
The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A collaborative leadership style focused on enabling teams rather than directing them.
The ability to remain organised and effective when priorities change or delivery challenges arise.
Skills that would be an advantage
Experience delivering core gameplay systems, including abilities, characters or game modes.
Familiarity with game-feature pipelines covering concept development, rapid prototyping and production.
Understanding of live-game development, seasonal content and player-feedback cycles.
Experience working with cross-functional game-development teams.
Familiarity with creative and highly iterative production environments.
An interest in shooter, vehicle-based or competitive multiplayer games.
Experience working within scaled agile environments such as SAFe, LeSS or similar frameworks.
Scope of the role
This position is focused on delivery management and team enablement. It does not directly own the product backlog, define feature requirements, make design or technical decisions, or involve direct people management.
Work arrangement
This is a hybrid position based in Nicosia, requiring four days per week in the office.
Benefits
The Nicosia benefits package includes:
21 days of annual leave, increasing to as many as 25 days based on length of service.
Additional personal, birthday, marriage and compassionate leave.
Enhanced sick-leave and maternity-leave provisions.
Private healthcare and access to a mental well-being programme.
Career-development and educational opportunities.
Company-supported English-language courses, subject to approval.
Access to an onsite gym, spa and subsidised canteen.
Free nearby parking, subject to availability.
Employee discounts, social clubs and company events.
A personal gaming account and employee referral programme.
Recognition awards based on length of service.
