ICT/Computer Science Teacher

About the Role

This is a middle-level ICT/Computer Science teaching position at an international school in Limassol, Cyprus, following the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level curriculum. The successful candidate will design and deliver high-quality, hands-on science education that fosters conceptual understanding through experiments, demonstrations, and inquiry-based methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons using diverse teaching strategies including problem-solving, collaborative projects, and digital simulations

• Differentiate instruction for students with varying English proficiency levels and scientific backgrounds

• Assess student progress using formative and summative methods and communicate results to parents

• Maintain safe, well-organized laboratory environments and prepare classroom materials and displays

• Create and sustain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom atmosphere with clear behaviour expectations

• Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leadership

• Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities

Requirements

• Degree in Science or related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or equivalent)

• Recognized teaching qualification

• Proven school teaching experience, preferably with Cambridge IGCSE and/or A Level Science (essential)

• Strong understanding of exam preparation strategies

• Experience with project-based and inquiry-based learning approaches

• Ability to teach multilingual learners effectively

• Eligibility or willingness to obtain Cyprus work permit and Kysats qualification accreditation

Working Conditions
