Performance QA Team Lead

Wargaming is seeking a Performance QA Team Lead to lead the Performance QA team for World of Warships PC. This is a technical leadership role combining hands-on expertise in performance engineering with team management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Performance QA team with task planning, coordination, mentoring, and technical guidance

• Define and maintain performance testing strategy, coverage, baselines, thresholds, and regression criteria

• Investigate performance regressions and identify bottlenecks across client, backend, and system-level components

• Drive performance testing and automation using Python across game client, backend services, and network interactions

• Create and maintain test infrastructure, tools, and frameworks for the QA team

• Integrate and maintain performance testing within CI/CD pipelines

• Collaborate with development teams on performance analysis and improvements

• Participate in architectural and technical design reviews from a QA perspective

Requirements

• 4+ years experience in Performance QA, Performance Engineering, or related disciplines

• Experience leading QA teams or in technical leadership roles

• 2+ years professional experience with Python

• Strong understanding of performance engineering principles and ability to investigate complex system performance issues

• Experience in client performance, backend/load performance, distributed systems, or system-level performance analysis

• Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English proficiency

Preferred Skills

Game development or PC game performance testing experience, PC architecture knowledge (CPU, GPU, memory, disk I/O), game client and GPU profiling tools, high-load or distributed backend systems experience, and familiarity with AI-assisted tools for workflow improvement.
