Senior Platform Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will lead the adoption of modern cloud practices and technologies within a highly collaborative DevOps-focused team. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical implementation, requiring someone who is self-motivated, passionate about automation, and committed to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of best practices, patterns and technologies for development and operations teams

• Identify automation opportunities and implement improvements to CI/CD processes for increased speed, safety and reliability

• Develop and maintain GitLab CI pipeline libraries and assist developers with CI/CD setup

• Provide senior-level recommendations for Windows, Linux and Kubernetes hosting environments

• Mentor junior team members and educate cross-functional teams on platform tools and concepts

• Collaborate with the Security team on vulnerability remediation and environment security

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Key Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

• 7+ years' experience with AWS, release pipeline management, Windows/Linux administration, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform

• Enterprise-level Kubernetes expertise

• Strong Linux administration skills

• Experience with observability and CI/CD tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and New Relic

Advantageous experience includes database concepts, Apache Kafka, and additional scripting languages (Go, etc.).
