AI Engineer

About the Role

EY is seeking an AI Engineer to join its Transformation Realized™ Consulting practice, supporting clients in designing and implementing state-of-the-art AI solutions. This position is part of EY's Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia cluster, delivering market-leading services across Cyprus and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced AI solutions leveraging Language Models and generative AI techniques

• Develop and deploy AI models and systems, integrating with APIs such as Azure OpenAI GPT and Hugging Face Transformers

• Build end-to-end pipelines for generative AI projects, handling data processing and model deployment

• Work with vector databases like Redis and NoSQL solutions to manage large-scale datasets

• Implement similarity search algorithms and data retrieval mechanisms for AI outputs

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business opportunities and define AI project goals

• Conduct research on advanced AI techniques including transfer learning and model compression

• Establish evaluation metrics to assess quality and relevance of AI outputs

• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical AI considerations

• Curate and preprocess large-scale datasets for generative AI applications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning

• Proficiency in Python, R, and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

• Strong knowledge of NLP techniques and transformer models (BERT, GPT)

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

• Expertise in data engineering and preprocessing

• Understanding of trusted AI practices, data privacy, and ethical considerations

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Knowledge of calculus, linear algebra, and statistics
