AI Engineer

About the role

Quadcode is looking for an AI Engineer to join its AI Platform team in Limassol, Cyprus.

In this role, you will build and maintain production-grade generative AI systems used across the company’s products. The work spans LLM-powered features, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, MCP integrations, evaluation pipelines, and backend services built on top of leading AI providers.

You will join a small, high-impact team with significant ownership over architecture, implementation, reliability, and technical direction.

This is a hands-on engineering position focused on taking AI prototypes and turning them into dependable production systems.

What you’ll be doing

• Design, build, and maintain LLM-powered product features and backend pipelines.

• Develop AI systems that work with financial and trading-related data and terminology.

• Build agentic and multi-agent workflows.

• Integrate tools and services using Model Context Protocol.

• Develop backend services in Python.

• Work with APIs from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI.

• Support integrations with on-premise or open-weight language models.

• Create and improve prompt-engineering workflows.

• Build prompt-evaluation pipelines and structured-output validation.

• Convert prototypes and proofs-of-concept into maintainable production services.

• Improve the reliability and maintainability of existing AI pipelines.

• Monitor LLM latency, cost, and availability.

• Make architecture decisions based on performance, reliability, and operational cost.

• Collaborate with other AI engineers on system design and technical direction.

• Participate in code reviews and engineering-quality improvements.

• Help evolve the broader AI platform and supporting infrastructure.

What we’re looking for

• Hands-on experience shipping production LLM-powered applications or features.

• Experience using OpenAI, Anthropic, or comparable LLM APIs in live systems.

• Alternatively, production experience with on-premise or open-weight models.

• Practical experience building multi-agent systems or agentic workflows.

• Hands-on experience working with MCP servers or Model Context Protocol tooling.

• Approximately two to four or more years of professional Python and software-engineering experience.

• Strong Python programming skills.

• Experience building REST APIs.

• Experience working with SQL.

• Practical experience using Docker.

• Familiarity with Git-based development workflows.

• Good understanding of asynchronous or concurrent programming.

• Experience taking technical projects from prototype to production.

• Practical knowledge of structured LLM outputs.

• Experience with prompt evaluation and testing.

• Understanding of cost-aware LLM system design.

• Strong software-engineering fundamentals.

• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Skills that would be an advantage

• Previous experience working in fintech.

• Knowledge of financial markets and trading.

• Familiarity with tickers, earnings, forex, CFDs, or technical indicators.

• A quantitative or mathematical background.

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation.

• Knowledge of model fine-tuning or model training.

• Experience optimising LLM inference or application performance.

• Participation in Kaggle competitions related to LLMs or multi-agent systems.

• Experience provisioning or managing GPU infrastructure.

• Experience serving open-weight models.

• Familiarity with Hugging Face inference tooling.

• Experience using Kubernetes.

• Experience using Kubeflow.

• Familiarity with Apache Airflow.

• Experience with data analysis and statistics.

• Experience using cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

• Russian-language proficiency.

Work arrangement

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Limassol, Cyprus.

Employees work partly from Quadcode’s Limassol office.

Finance experience is beneficial but not mandatory. Strong production AI and LLM engineering experience remains the main focus of the role.
