Role Overview
JetBrains seeks a Developer Advocate focused on DataGrip, their database development tool. This role bridges the gap between the product team and the global database developer community, serving as the public face and advocate for DataGrip across online platforms and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and participate in online developer communities (X, Reddit, Discord, Quora) to support database professionals and discuss relevant topics
Create high-quality, long-form content including technical videos and blog posts that educate users and demonstrate DataGrip capabilities
Represent DataGrip at conferences through technical talks and community engagement
Gather real-world user feedback, pain points, and insights from the field and communicate them to product teams
Build and maintain visibility across diverse database communities worldwide
Contribute to product discussions for new database products from inception through launch
Required Skills and Experience
Solid technical background in database development with hands-on experience
Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
Demonstrated ability to create clear, engaging technical content for developers in written or video format
Public speaking experience and confidence presenting technical topics at industry events
Active participation in online developer communities with proven ability to navigate platforms like Reddit and X
Strong English communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible insights
Independent, self-directed approach with full ownership mindset for community outreach strategy
