Join JetBrains to develop Junie, an AI coding agent that combines advanced machine learning with decades of software development expertise. This role offers end-to-end ownership of initiatives spanning from early research through production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and ship new features for Junie across CLI and model integrations

• Experiment with model setups, ensembling strategies, and cost efficiency optimizations

• Build and test autonomous agent behaviors capable of long-term project maintenance

• Own the full development cycle from research conception to production-ready code

• Use Junie daily to iterate on quality and user experience

What You'll Bring

• Proven track record developing and shipping machine learning or full-stack software products

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or agentic workflows

• Ability to write high-quality production code across the full development lifecycle

• Practical experience building or fine-tuning ML models

• Full ownership mindset, curiosity to challenge assumptions, and ability to learn quickly

• Strong interest in autonomous AI systems and software engineering tools
