About the role
Role Overview
Wargaming is seeking a UI Designer to join the World of Warships project team, responsible for creating and evolving the game's user interface. This mid-level position reports to the Team Lead and focuses on designing engaging, intuitive interfaces that enhance the player experience across complex gameplay systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain complex UI systems supporting multiple gameplay mechanics and interconnected product areas
Define interaction patterns, information architecture, and reusable design solutions within assigned scope
Create and maintain comprehensive implementation documentation, UI guidelines, and design standards
Lead UX analysis of complex features using player feedback, research, analytics, and usability data
Identify usability risks, implementation constraints, and design inconsistencies, driving improvements across systems
Mentor less experienced UI designers and support design quality through reviews and knowledge sharing
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align UI solutions with product, technical, and artistic objectives
Requirements
2+ years of experience designing complex user interfaces for games or interactive products
Deep understanding of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and player behavior
Ability to design scalable UI systems and establish reusable patterns and standards
Proficiency using analytics, user research, and feedback to drive design decisions
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English proficiency
Portfolio demonstrating game UI design work and design process
Experience with AI tools is a bonus. The role includes relocation and immigration support, with an onsite probation period followed by hybrid work (3 days per week in office).
