Java Spring Boot Developer
EY's Consulting Service Line is seeking a Java Spring Boot Developer to join their Transformation Realized™ practice, serving clients across Cyprus and internationally. This hybrid role focuses on developing and maintaining cloud-native, microservices-based applications within an agile consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain cloud-native Java microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks
Participate in technical solution design and architecture, ensuring security, high availability, scalability, and resilience
Write and execute unit tests following clean code principles
Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing
Support software deployments and releases using CI/CD pipelines
Perform root-cause analysis on defects and bugs
Mentor and guide junior developers
Collaborate within agile teams to achieve project objectives
Use observability tools to monitor performance and optimize applications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, IT, or related field
3–6 years of relevant work experience
Strong experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) and service-oriented architectures
Hands-on experience implementing cloud-native microservices
Proficiency with source code management, CI/CD, and automated deployment
Knowledge of application security including authentication, authorization, and encryption
Very good SQL and database management skills
Experience with agile methodologies
Excellent English communication skills
Preferred Skills
Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure cloud platforms, event-driven architectures (Kafka), Spring Cloud Config, relevant technical certifications, international project experience, and ability to lead and mentor other developers.
