FlySto is a startup project within JetBrains focused on aviation flight data analysis. The platform enables pilots to store and analyze flight data captured by sophisticated aircraft avionics systems across web and mobile applications built in Kotlin.

As Lead Product Designer, you will lead a small design team while owning the end-to-end design process for large-scale product initiatives. Your responsibilities include:

• Guide and mentor a small team of product designers to ensure productivity and quality output

• Establish design direction and strategy for major product initiatives from concept through execution

• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions based on real user needs

• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes and polished UI specifications in Figma

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, developers, researchers and stakeholders

• Clearly communicate design concepts and decisions to promote team alignment

• Guide designs through implementation and incorporate user feedback in iterative cycles

Required qualifications include advanced Figma proficiency, ability to apply and maintain consistent brand visual language, strong communication skills for articulating design rationale, experience with iterative design processes, and capability to manage design work end-to-end. Mobile application design experience is preferred, as is genuine interest in aviation.
