About the Role
JetBrains is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead design initiatives for Air, an innovative agentic development environment that combines native desktop and web-based experiences. This role focuses on designing intuitive interfaces for a workspace where multiple AI agents run tasks in parallel while developers maintain control.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver high-quality user interfaces through wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
Lead large-scale design initiatives from strategy through execution
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX researchers to define problems and align on solutions
Communicate design concepts and decisions to promote team alignment
Work with UX Research and Analytics to validate ideas using real user data and behavioral insights
Partner closely with development teams to implement and review UI/UX solutions
Contribute to design system development to ensure consistency while maintaining flexibility and scalability
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of UI/UX design experience
Proficiency designing complex functional interfaces
Ability to work in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities
Strong prototyping, presentation, and reasoning skills for design solutions
Attention to detail and diligence
Fluent English for communication and documentation
Proactive, independent approach with strong time management
Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with developer-focused or technical products
Background in programming or AI
