Platform Engineer Team Lead

This role combines hands-on technical leadership with team management responsibilities within the Platform Engineering team. You will coordinate daily operations, design and implement cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation processes while mentoring team members and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute action plans to achieve performance indicators and improve DevOps practices

• Design, maintain, and enhance GitLab CI pipeline libraries and assist developers with CI/CD setup

• Identify automation opportunities and drive implementation across Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes environments

• Monitor and improve existing CI/CD processes for speed, safety, and reliability

• Coordinate cross-team collaboration and support knowledge-sharing sessions on platform standards and best practices

• Lead mentoring and development of team members, set performance targets, and foster a collaborative environment

• Work with Security teams to ensure platform compliance and remediate vulnerabilities

• Stay current with industry trends and tools in DevOps and cloud technologies

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

• 7+ years experience in Cloud (AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows/Linux Administration, PowerShell/Bash/Python scripting, Configuration Management, Infrastructure as Code (Ansible/Terraform), DNS, and Networking

• Enterprise-level Kubernetes experience and solid Linux administration skills

• Strong leadership, mentoring, and people management capabilities

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic)

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail
